Band History:
Murphey's Spears was formed in April of 2002, in despondent upstate NY. Shortly after their creation there was a conflict of interest and worries of an unsure future, taking it's toll on the band. The two brothers in the band, learned that they were moving to north/central New Jersey. They realized the band would not work and informed the other members. Once arriving in New Jersey, they played in separate bands, but realized that they played so well off each other they would have to come back together. They joined forces and went searching for the right members. They finally found the right lineup in Summer of 2004. After a while they befriended the head man at Green Fire Records, and all the members believed in his vision and thats where they are today.
NEWS:
October 7, 2004: Site is still under construction. Pics and such should be added soon. The new album was supposed to be an EP. But after the songs were written an underlying trend was in each song that ultimately connected all the songs like a story. Now the album is being refixed to be almost as a story, don't want to say a concept album because the songs are short punk rock honesty. The album is working for a winter time release.
